Import

Microsoft Excel

Follow the steps below to import the CSV data in Excel:

Administrative Regions

  • Open the menu Data / From Text
  • Select "Text Files (*.txt;*.prn;*.csv)" as type of file
  • Browse directories and select your file (Geo-XX-4-XXX.csv)
  • In import wizard, select File origin 65001: Unicode (UTF-8) encoding, Delimiter semicolon
  • Click Transform data button to display preview (to define some columns as text and preserve leading zeroes in codes).
  • Select the following columns select change type to "Text" and click "Replace current"
    • Region1Code
    • Region2Code
    • Region3Code
    • Region4Code
  • Click "Close & Load" button located first of top menu to finish import

Postal Codes

  • Open the menu Data / From Text
  • Select "Text Files (*.txt;*.prn;*.csv)" as type of file
  • Browse directories and select your file (Geo-XX-5-XXX.csv)
  • In import wizard, select File origin 65001: Unicode (UTF-8) encoding, Delimiter semicolon
  • Click Transform data button to display preview (to define some columns as text and preserve leading zeroes in codes).
  • Select the following columns select change type to "Text" and click "Replace current"
    • PostalCode
  • Click "Close & Load" button located first of top menu to finish import

Streets

  • Open the menu Data / From Text
  • Select "Text Files (*.txt;*.prn;*.csv)" as type of file
  • Browse directories and select your file (Geo-XX-8-XXX.csv)
  • In import wizard, select File origin 65001: Unicode (UTF-8) encoding, Delimiter semicolon
  • Click Transform data button to display preview (to define some columns as text and preserve leading zeroes in codes).
  • Select the following columns select change type to "Text" and click "Replace current"
    • PostalCode
  • Right click and select Change Type, then "Text" and click "Replace current"
  • Click "Close & Load" button located first of top menu to finish import
